Once a bank statement document is uploaded, the processing and extraction will generate high-quality structured data. You can retrieve banking data using Sikoia's Banking solution. This data can also be leveraged for Income & Employer Verification, Affordability Insights, and Completeness Checks.

Bank Statement Criteria

Uploaded bank statement documents must meet the following criteria:

• Statements must be from one of the UK banks listed below. We support current accounts, savings accounts, credit cards and in some cases business accounts and ISAs.
  • Accounts may be joint or individual accounts.
  • Mortgages and other loans are not currently supported.
• Statements must be PDF format, uploaded in base64 encoding.
• The statements must be downloaded directly from the official bank website or mobile application.
  • The official bank PDF statements give the best results.
  • Photos and scans of printed statements are not supported, even if the resulting file is a PDF.
  • If you are viewing a PDF statement in a web browser, make sure you download or save it. Don't print it to a PDF file.
  • Internet banking web pages with lists of transactions can be printed to a PDF file. (On a Windows PC, select the virtual printer "Save as PDF", not "Microsoft Print to PDF" which converts the original PDF document to images that cannot be processed).
• Statements should be in their original, unaltered form and include every page. Statements which have been edited, annotated, amended or changed cannot be used.
• We can often handle several statements merged into a single PDF, though this is not guaranteed.
• Statement must be unencrypted. Any files submitted with encryption will not be handled.

Safari, Firefox and Edge browsers may alter the documents if viewed in the browser and then saved, either directly or via a “print to PDF” function.
