API Keys are being deprecated

The Sikoia API now supports OAuth 2.0.

The use of API keys for authentication will be deprecated on July 31 2024 and efforts should be made to migrate to using OAuth 2.0.

Action required

Any clients with a direct integration to the Sikoia API will need to change the way they authenticate and ensure all requests made include a valid bearer token.

For clients who use the Sikoia portal solution, with no integration to the API, no action is required.

Expected impact if no action is taken

After the deprecation date any requests made with an api key will fail with a bad request unauthorised.
